Plus de 10 ans après son album encensé par la critique et le public Goldberg Variations / Variations (2011), le pianiste Dan Tepfer nous offre une nouvelle exploration de Bach où se mélangent interprétation et improvisation. Sur Inventions / Reinventions, qui sortira chez StorySound Records le 17 mars 2023, Tepfer interprète chacune des 15 inventions de Bach et improvise ses propres inventions, jouées dans les «tonalités» manquantes, parvenant ainsi à créer un nouveau cycle complet en 24 tonalités pour le moins enivrant.
